Malice Review: David Duchovny Shines but Can’t Save Amazon’s Weak Wealth Thriller in Hollywood

Amazon’s new thriller “Malice” introduces audiences to a world of luxury and lies, but despite a stellar lead performance by David Duchovny, the film struggles to deliver the gripping drama it promises. Set against the backdrop of opulence and hidden agendas, the story follows a wealthy family whose perfect life begins to unravel with the arrival of a charming yet sinister nanny, played by Jack Whitehall.
Whitehall’s character slowly infiltrates the family, using his charisma to weave himself into their lives, only to methodically dismantle their stability. His portrayal adds a compelling layer to the narrative, giving viewers an intriguing villain whose motives and actions keep the tension alive. On the other hand, Duchovny’s role anchors the film with his familiar screen presence and depth, adding credibility and emotional weight to the unfolding drama.
